TM "ZaXaR" launches a new product - filling "Apple Charlotte"!
Apple charlotte is one of the classic desserts that has a long history. Among the pastries - it has no equal: loose dough combined with juicy apple filling, will not leave indifferent even the most demanding gourmets.
There are several versions of the history of the pie. According to one of them, the etymology of the name Charlotte is associated with the name of Queen Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, the wife of King George III of England. According to another theory, quite plausible, the name of the dessert comes from the Old English charlyt, which means "a dish of beaten eggs, sugar and milk."
In Ukraine, this dessert, originating in France, became popular, probably through Poland or Austria-Hungary, in modern countries located in its historic lands, it is popular to this day.
This winter, the Berestechko Fruit Canning Plant has decided to launch a new type of product under TM "ZaXaR" brand - Apple Charlotte filling.
It will be a great addition to a variety of desserts, rolls and classic Viennese strudel. The filling contains only sliced apples and sugar. However, the cooking technology gives it an incredible structure, texture and aroma - small slices of apple dipped in a thick honey syrup.
This is what everyone loves in the classic recipe for apple shallots:
For the dough:
- 160 g of sugar;
- 160 g flour;
- 4 large eggs;
- 1 pinch of salt;
- 0.5 tsp baking powder;
For the filling:
- Filler "Apple Charlotte" from TM "ZaXaR";
- If desired, you can add 1 tsp. ground cinnamon, 60 g of raisins or lemon zest;
- 1 apple for decoration.
Beat eggs with sugar and 1 pinch of salt into a light thick mass. To make sure that the mass is already well beaten, draw a line with a whisk, if it remains visible for 1-2 seconds, and then spreads, the eggs with sugar are already well beaten. If it spreads immediately, you need to knock down more.
Sift flour with baking powder into the egg-sugar mixture and gently stir with a spatula from the bottom up.
Sponge dough should be handled with care to keep it as light as possible.
Line the form with parchment or grease with butter, sprinkle with flour. Pour ½ parts of the dough, lay out the filling "Apple Charlotte" from TM "ZaXaR", pour the dough on top. If desired, you can decorate the charlotte with slices of fresh apple. Bake for 25-30 minutes at 180 degrees. Sprinkle generously with powdered sugar and lightly chilled charlotte.
